Most of our recycled paper comes from Southern Ontario. Some fiber is brought in from the Northern United States or Quebec. We use fiber from municipal curbside collection (blue box programs), industrial/ commercial facilities and we annually divert 33,000 truckloads of paper waste that would have gone to landfill. This saves the equivalent of 14 million trees per year that would have been cut down to make this much paper.

The fibers, starches, etc. have many beneficial uses;
composting, landscape shaping (berms), anaerobic
treatment to make methane gas (displacing the
need for natural gas), or directly combusted
for steam generation.
